The customizable henchmen and HvH is what I'm looking forward to and interested in, but I don't want to get my hopes up yet. Though, it's very exciting to know. Just got to wait and see.
I can't wait to explore Elona, though.

Lets go with 300 new skills and 30 duplicates (330 skills learnable skills on the list total), just like last time. 75 each for the new guys, 15 new standard skills for the core guys, 10 new elites for the core guys, and 5 duplicates of non core standard skills for the core guys.
I will be very surprised if it isn't exactly like Factions in this regard.

I always thought Guild Wars was an online single player game...
Suddenly, the evil paladins and blue aliens don't look so bad...

It looks to me like all classes get customizable henchman pets. I only hope they give *real* pets better AI and controls, too.
Customizable henchmen sound like a wonderful money sink -- it will also take a lot of "stuff" out of circulation, as people start equiping their pet henchmen.

Noticed some of the bits have long been suggested by the community (commands for henchies). I wonder if older chapter owners will benefit from that or will they miss out again like the storage thing...
|
Hasnt ANet already come out and said thats the way theyre doing it? Basically, that the stuff we ask for for months will be available in new chapters only(Good business decision. I dont like it at all, but understand it.).
The storyline now, its "sort of" like PoP2,(never played it, never seemed interesting), in PoP2, theres ONE guy, with 2 personalities, in Nightfall, a guy summons an evil god's power, and then the trouble starts. As to the other stuff...
• Customizable Heroes (party NPCs) that level up with the player, follow player instructions in combat, and use armor, weapons, and skills of the player’s choice.
Bout time! I hated being about 3-4 lvls higher than henchies. If they wanted hechies(and players) to be close to henchie lvl at certain areas, they should have been "locked" from the begining(wouldve also prevented "running"), believe it when I see it, Would be nice to at last be able to give appropriate skills for an area
--------------------------
• Two new professions: The Dervish, a scythe-wielding holy warrior and The Paragon, the guardian angels of the Elonian people.
Should be interesting to see skills
• 300 new skills.
--------------------------
• 250 Quests, 55 explorable areas, 20 new Story Missions, and three new Challenge Missions.
Lot of places to see, like it

First time I've posted on here in a while. This is the first time I've heard about Nightfall and one thing I must say - judging by the few pictures that are released, Im not particularly impressed with the character graphics.
I know games shouldn't necessarily be judged on graphics but compared to other games that are coming out around the same time, its graphics will seem inferior and judging by the characters, they don't seem to have improved an awful lot from the origional GW.

Fat chance. This is a standalone expansion just like factions. At the most we will see enemies as assassin/ritualist with the potential for some new greens but they won't add skills to the set. They may add skills to factions with a later update though (equivalent of Sorrows Furnace to Guild Wars).

Nightfall seems wonderful, it will be interesting to see how the whole custom henchmen thing will turn out...
With enough manipulation and knowledge of the AI's I'm sure someone could fashion a spike team out of the henchmen.

Not too excited by the customizable henchmen (because I don't use them), although this may replace many of the "cookie cutter" PuG requests.
20 New Missions - a much needed expansion to the 13 missions in Factions - YES!!!
No mention of new armors for Core/Factions characters, or whether any of the 300 new skills will be for Factions characters, though...
|
you silly little sausage of course there will be new armors!

It does indeed sound like theyre aiming for the PvE with this one, considering how pissed off *most* people got with factions.

I guess the core team focus on PvE and the factions team on PvP. Chapter four could end up PvP focused since the factions team is working it. Just a guess.
